The threaded connection

** Cylindrical pipe thread** As standard, our valves with threaded connection have a cylindrical Whitworth pipe thread DIN/ISO 228.

Sealing

The connection can be sealed by pressing two sealing surfaces against each other outside the threads and by inserting a suitable seal between them.

** Pipe thread tapered** As an option, we offer our valves with tapered internal threads in accordance with ANSI / ASME B 1.20.1.

• Abbreviation: NPT
• Nomenclature: 1/2 ‘NPT, 3/4 “NPT, 1 ”NPT etc.

The NPT thread is a tapered or conical pipe thread. Both the internal and external threads are tapered. The thread flanks are sealed by applying a suitable sealant to the external screw connection.
