2/2-weg pneumatische direct gestuurde axiale spoelafsluiter, ook voor zeer viskeuze, smerende of verontreinigde media.
Type 2/918 kleppen worden bij voorkeur gebruikt waar ventielen met zitting niet kunnen worden gebruikt vanwege de vloeistofeigenschappen.
Een ander argument ten gunste van dit ontwerp is dat het in alle richtingen kan worden doorstroomd en afgesloten en dat het zowel in horizontale als in verticale pijpleidingen kan worden geïnstalleerd.
De stuurventielen type 72 en 81 worden gebruikt als regelventielen.
